Understand allowance and usage
Your allowance indicates how much usage remains in your plan. Use Settings → Usage to understand where usage is going, and Account for plan information.
Check your allowance
Section titled “Check your allowance”- Check the allowance indicator associated with your profile.
- Open Settings → Usage.
- Review the available usage summary and breakdown.
- Choose a reporting period where offered.
The usage screen shows the percentage of allowance remaining and how usage is distributed across activities.
A percentage remaining describes the current allowance; a percentage in a usage breakdown can describe a category’s share of usage. Read the label before comparing them.
Use allowance deliberately
Section titled “Use allowance deliberately”Make requests specific, provide only relevant material, and compare several models only when the comparison is useful. Generated images, Writer work, and other available tools may use allowance as well as ordinary chat.
An estimate is not a guaranteed final charge. Check the result and usage view if a request uses more than expected.
If access stops because allowance is exhausted, inspect the account’s current options. Do not assume a reset schedule, included quantity, or top-up entitlement from an old screenshot or example plan.
